Tip 50- Eat Chunky Foods so You Won’t be Chunky

A recent study discovered that people, who ate a bowl of soup with large chunks of veggies, felt fuller and ate 20% fewer calories at lunch than those who ate a pureed soup.

It appears that when you eat “chunky” foods, it takes longer to chew, which means you eat slower. It takes about 20 minutes before your body feels full, by slowing down, you naturally eat less.

Today’s tip: Make and eat chunky foods! Order a chopped salad with extra veggies or pasta primavera instead of pasta with plain red sauce. Lightly cook veggies so they are still crunchy instead of cooking them until they are soft. The longer it takes to eat, the less you will eat!
