Can your dog make you healthier?
Here are some interesting recent findings on pets and your health:
  1. Lower blood pressure.  One study found that the presence of a dog, lowered a woman's blood pressure more than the presence of a girl friend!  (perhaps she should have picked better friends? hehe).
  2. For Children, same is true.  When a dog was present during a physical exam the kids had lower blood pressure and heart rates than if the dog hadn't been present.
  3. Having a dog will also increase the odds for surviving a heart attack!  Amazing statistics, it went from 1 in 15 to 1 in 87 for survival rates.
