Tip 33- Foolproof Tips From My Most Successful Clients

Tip 1: Turn off the TV.

The average American watches 5 hours of TV per day. The more TV you watch, the higher your body fat content. A recent study found that if people cut their TV viewing in half, they would burn an additional 120 calories per day. That is over 800 calories each week; the same amount of calories you’d burn if you walked an extra 8 miles! The study showed that it didn’t matter what you did with your extra time. Some people walked their dogs, others did dishes, and some played with their kids.

Today’s tip: Buy a pedometer and wear it all weekend. Your goal is to hit 10,000 steps per day. Just move your body; it doesn’t have to be at the gym. Even pushing a vacuum around your house is a workout!
