Tip 8- Eat By Color!

Fruits and veggies get those beautiful colors because of the phytochemicals that are in the plants. I know you’re asking yourself, “Phyto-what?” Phytochemicals are substances similar to vitamins, and they are responsible for giving plants their color and taste. They are found in all plant based foods, including teas, spices and herbs. We don’t know how they work, but they are powerful ammunition in the war against cancer and other diseases.

Today’s tip: I often tell my clients to “eat by color” and try to include two green, one red/purple, one yellow/orange and one white/brown food in your daily diet.
